Preview — Chapter 01: Domestication and the Dream of the Planet
You weren’t born afraid, ashamed, or self-critical - you were taught to be. From childhood, we’re conditioned to fit into “the dream of the planet” - the collective belief system of society. We learn language, religion, rules, success, failure, love, and shame through reward and punishment. Behave well? You get love. Step out of line? You get rejection, ridicule, or guilt. Eventually, this external system becomes internal. We develop the inner Judge - the voice that criticizes and controls us - and the Victim, who feels powerless under the Judge’s rule. Together, they create the illusion that we’re not enough, can’t change, and must keep proving our worth. This is the process of domestication - and it happens to everyone. It teaches us to live by agreements we never consciously made. Agreements like: I must be perfect to be loved. Other people’s opinions define me. My worth is tied to productivity. I am not enough. But here’s the breakthrough: just as you were taught those agreements, you can unlearn them. You can break the old ones and make new ones - agreements that support your peace, freedom, and truth. It starts with becoming aware that most of what you believe is not inherently true - it was handed to you. And you have the power to let it go.
