Awareness itself begins to dissolve it. When we pause and notice the harsh inner dialogue, when we bring curiosity instead of condemnation, cracks form in the trance. With mindfulness, we begin to see the stories of unworthiness for what they are: stories, not truth. Compassion further softens the grip, allowing us to embrace the wounded parts rather than exile them. Step by step, we move from imprisonment to presence, from shame to belonging. Awakening from the trance is not about fixing ourselves, but about seeing through the illusion that we were ever broken.
